U.S. COVID-19 Deaths Highest in the World at over 500,000

WASHINGTON – President Joe Biden, upon taking office, spoke of the lives lost during this COVID-19 pandemic during a COVID-19 memorial ceremony.
Today, President Biden, First Lady, Jill Biden, Vice President Kamala Harris and husband Doug Emhoff will mark the U.S. crossing 500,000 lives lost from COVID-19 with a moment of silence and candle lighting ceremony at the White House. The White House confirmed that President Biden will deliver remarks honoring those lost to the pandemic.
The COVID-19 pandemic in the U.S. has claimed over 500,200 lives (the highest in the world), that is over half a million and climbing. John Hopkins CSSE reports: America has over 28,134,803 confirmed cases. Globally, the COVID-19 pandemic has confirmed the number of cases at 111,434,139 with 2,467,481 deaths.
