Ukraine as a country is in need of help with millions leaving and tens of thousands of casualties

WASHINGTON (AGN.News) – Ukraine is a country in Eastern Europe. It is the second largest country in Europe after Russia. In 2021 agriculture was the biggest sector of the economy and Ukraine was the world’s largest wheat exporter.

Ukraine completely changed in the early hours of 24 February 2022 when Russia announced that a “special military operation” would be launched into Ukraine. With an invasion force of over 190,000 troops, the war in Ukraine commence in the north, east and south.
Almost immediately, reports of the dead and wounded began to be reported to the national government in the nation’s capital and largest city, Kyiv. Ukraine became a country under siege with millions leaving for other countries and thousands of casualties.
As the Russian invasion continued, the number of dead and wounded among the civilian population increased dramatically. By April 2, 2022, over four million people had exited the country. Over 25 percent of the population had been internally displaced.
To date, whole cities, villages and towns have been completely destroyed. Infrastructure cost of damaged and/or destroyed crops and property nationwide has amounted to triple-digit billions of US dollars. As the war continues, the cost of human loss of life on all sides is in the thousands and rising daily. Its being reported that tens of thousands of people have lost their lives since the start of the war on February 24, 2022 with millions having been internally-displaced.
Volunteers from countries the world over have gone to Ukraine to fight on all sides. News reports from many outlets says the total of those joining the fight is in the tens of thousands.
According to many news reports, the initial “invasion” was reported to have been completed in a few days. It is now closing in on fifty days, with no sign of ending anytime soon.
