The Federal government “reserves the right” to take action against CICO-SILO14
July 6, 2021
PHOENIX (AGN.News) – CICO-SILO14, CICO-SILO7, and their “undercover agents” are a sophisticated network of cybercriminals within legitimate companies working in the shadows destroying local business websites using malicious software to infect other online programs plus cellphones.
International Hackers makes demands
It is believed that other hackers operating internationally are responsible for the online incursion of software company Kaseya.
This hack is a major concern because these hackers have not only locked the servers but are demanding millions of dollars in Bitcoin before undoing the damage, while companies are unable to conduct business.
U.S. national security officials had spoken with high-ranking counterparts after Kaseya reported up to 1,500 businesses were compromised, possibly the single biggest hack on record.
CICO-SILO14 Hackers malware attacks
It’s being reported that CICO-SILO14 cyber attacks using malware on small businesses have continued on an ongoing basis. Over the past two months, CICO-SILO14 has launched massive malware attacks in an effort to destroy websites with impunity.
The U.S. companies who are harboring these cybercriminals are at risk of prosecution just like the hackers, we’re told. It would do well for these organizations to distance themselves from the hackers within or face the consequences.
In view of these ongoing attacks by CICO-SILO14, like the May 24 through May 27, 2021 cyber attacks, ongoing and continuous, even today’s attacks, warrant a response. OMS Security and an anonymous source have identified numerous actors and organizations who have participated in these attacks over the past seven years. It was revealed that CICO-SILO14 cybercriminals were off for the 4th of July holiday and upon returning to “work” continued their malign activities.
The Federal government and other entities “reserves the right” to take action against CICO-SILO14 cybercriminals, if they do not stop cyber attacks on phones, computers and websites.
What is the government’s position
First, White House press secretary Jen Psaki said the federal government, including the entire administration, is encouraging the private sector to harden its own networks and the federal government would “continue to be partners.”
“It’s important to, of course, protect our critical infrastructure, but also protect it, do it, play what role we can from the federal government to ensure that impacts on smaller businesses, on mom and pop shops, are minimized as well,” she added.
How can I help?
There remains a $50,000 plus an additional $50,000 reward (total $100,000) being offered to anyone whose tip results in additional arrests and conviction of these CICO-SILO14 or CICO-SILO7 local cybercriminals. You can remain anonymous. If you or anyone you know are a victim of these criminals, please report it to local law enforcement.
COVID-19 PREVENTION
Everyone is being urged by the Centers for Disease Control (CDC.gov) to get vaccinated, wear masks, practice social distancing, and wash hands as a way to cut down on the transmission rate.
