WASHINGTON – The $10 billion Joint Enterprise Defense Infrastructure cloud, also called JEDI, contract was awarded to a single bidder, Microsoft. The Pentagon had previously announced the plan was to have one winner.
This 10 year Pentagon warfighter cloud aquisition project was awarded to one bidder. Amazon, Google, Oracle, IBM and others were bidders.
Amazon was high on the list of possible winners, but Microsoft emerged as the JEDI winner. Last month Amazon, Inc filed a lawsuit in federal court contesting the DOD September decision to award the contract to rival bidder, Microsoft Corp.
