MINNEAPOLIS – The jury received instructions from Hennepin County Judge Peter Cahill as to how to proceed with deliberations of the guilt or innocence of Derek Chauvin in the murder of George Floyd on Memorial Day, May 25, 2020.
Former Minneapolis Police Officer Derek Chauvin was found Guilty of the Murder of George Floyd on all counts. Derek Chauvin was charged with second-degree murder, third-degree murder and second-degree manslaughter under Minnesota law.
Late this afternoon (3:00 pm local time) the jury announced they have a verdict. Derek Chauvin’s was found guilty on all counts. Millions worldwide were waiting for this decision. Today (4:06 pm local time) they got the answer.
