Fifth World Holocaust Forum 2020

JERUSALEM – Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced meetings with world leaders visiting Jerusalem for the Fifth World Holocaust Forum 2020 in Jerusalem, Israel this week. World leaders from over 43 countries are scheduled to attend the forum at Yad Vashem.
The following dignitaries are scheduled to arrive in Jerusalem, Israel: Prince Charles of England, and from the United States, President Donald Trump, Vice President Mike Pence, the President of Austria Alexander Van der Bellen, President Emanuel Macron of France, the President of Italy Sergio Mattarella, Georgian President Salome Zourabichvili, Bulgarian President Rumen Radev, Australian Governor-General David Hurley, and the President of Russia Vladimir Putin.
This event, Fifth World Holocaust Forum 2020 in Jerusalem, marks the 75 years since the liberation of Auschwitz. This conference will address the rise of antisemitism in the world.
French President Macron and President Putin will visit the Memorial to the Deportation of Jews from France near Beit Shemesh commemorating the Red Army soldiers of World War II and the siege of Leningrad (now Petersburg, Russia). This commemoration recognizes the nearly 70,000 Jewish fighters in the Red Army who lost their lives in World War II.
Netanyahu plans to meet with US Vice President Mike Pence, President Putin of Russia, President Macron of France and others this week to address antisemitism issues facing Jewish communities around the world.
