WASHINGTON (AGN.News) -The 2022 United States midterm general elections are on November 8, 2022. If you are an eligible voter you can let your voice be heard loud and clear by voting.
Every community in the country will cast their vote for the candidate of their choice. It’s your right to vote that’s guaranteed under laws well established and confirmed in the United States Constitution.
State and federal elections
All 435 seats in the House of Representatives and 35 of the 100 seats in the Senate will be contested.
Also, thirty-nine state and territorial gubernatorial elections, as well as numerous other state and local elections, will be contested.
After the 2020 census many states exercised their right to participate in congressional redistricting due to shifting populations or an increase in population as reflected in the census.
Reasons why you should vote
The results of this election will determine the 118th United States Congress. This will be the first election since the 2020 census. Many U.S. states will have candidates who will seek elected office.
Gubernatorial elections, Attorney General elections, Secretary of State elections, and State Treasurer elections in many states are on the ballot Tuesday, November 8, 2022.
Additionally, local county and city elections will have women and men who will be seeking elected office. You will have an opportunity to select the candidate of your choice for a particular office.
