ATLANTA (AGN.News) – The CDC says there are signs showing a gradual leveling off of the number of the Omicron variant of COVID-19 nationwide.
USA Today news reports… Dr. Ali Khan, chief medical officer at Oak Street Health, a national network of primary care centers specializing in vulnerable patients, says the Omicron surge is finally leveling off.
Dr. Ali Khan: “We are seeing plateaus and downturns in the northern markets that were first hit hard by Omicron in mid-December – Chicago, Cleveland, Philadelphia and New York City – so that’s a somewhat promising sign.”
In the light of this leveling off of this variant, there are many questions relating to the virus that have been answered by healthcare professionals. CDC.gov provides information on many ways to mitigate the spread of COVID-19 with its many variants.
There are many resources available via the Centers for Disease Control website to answer many questions individuals and families are seeking answers.
FREE COVID TESTS now available
Many people are asking about how to get FREE COVID TESTS kits and FREE N95 masks. The White House has provided information on both COVID test kits and N95 masks.
Free COVID tests can be ordered online at: covidtests.gov effective today, January 19, 2022. These FREE COVID tests are limited to four (4) per household. Once you place your order the USPS will send you an email informing you of the time your order is shipped, generally between 7 to 10 days after your order has been placed. These kits are sent postage-free so there is no cost to you.
FREE N95 masks available soon
The federal government will be making available 400 million FREE N95 masks beginning next week. These N95 masks will be available at local health facilities, local pharmacies, community health centers and many other provider locations in communities nationwide. Check with your local health department or healthcare provider for locations near you.
