Media reports indicate Texas Roadhouse restaurant chain chief executive officer Kent Taylor recently died by suicide after suffering from post-COVID symptoms, including severe tinnitus.
Tens of Thousands of spring break students converged on South Beach (Miami Beach, Florida) to celebrate after a grueling few months of classes. It’s being reported most were not social distancing and not wearing masks. The CDC expects a surge in COVID cases as a result.
Health officials in North Carolina have announced that everyone (over 18 years old) in Craven, Greene, Cumberland and Rockingham counties in Eastern and Central North Carolina can now get vaccinated. They have opened vaccines for all over 18 years old and in some cases 16 years old throughout these counties with the goal of vaccinating everyone in the state by early May.
Wearing a mask could help mitigate the virus, we are told. Realizing the virus was airborne meant much more would be needed to stop the spread. The CDC prioritized the flow of mitigating information designed to protect the population from this newly discovered deadly airborne respiratory coronavirus disease.
The Centers for Disease Control (CDC.gov) continues to stress the COVID-19 pandemic is not under control simply because vaccines are available. This coronavirus has taken the lives of hundreds of thousands of people in the United States and millions worldwide.
Johns Hopkins CSSE Report of 383,458,672 tests proves vaccinations are not enough to stop the spread. The lost of more lives demonstrates the urgency of taking prevention measures seriously per the CDC.
Total confirmed COVID-19 cases on March 23 in the U.S. Is 29,911,118 and 543,621 deaths. Worldwide confirmed 123,984,240 cases with 2,728,551 deaths. Thirteen months ago we reported 25 confirmed deaths worldwide. Now over 2,728,000 deaths worldwide and surging.
As these numbers show the pandemic is not over. Therefore all applicable recommendations made by the CDC and your local healthcare professionals should be taken very seriously.
Additional vaccines are now coming online for everyone throughout the U.S. and in many other countries with the number of locations being added daily increasing. Former U.S. Presidents are showing support for the vaccination program and the CDC coronavirus mitigating measures. Celebrities, educators and local officials have shown their support for the CDC guidelines (CDC.gov).
“More than vaccines are needed to overcome this pandemic” says the CDC. Personal responsibility is essential as we work to overcome this pandemic.
