Coronavirus Confirmed Infections Have Exceeded 6,000

HANOI, VIETNAM – The 2019 Novel Coronavirus also called 2019-nCOV, has come to Vietnam. In Vietnam, a Chinese man visiting his son, spread the coronavirus to him and in turn infected other family members who then traveled around the country on planes, trains, buses, and taxis spreading the coronavirus as they traveled. The government has now stepped up coronavirus containment and prevention measures.
In Germany, four people were infected by a coworker visiting China who didn’t get sick until the plane ride back. The coronavirus has a 6 to 10 day incubation period, according to health officials.
With over 6,000 confirmed coronavirus cases worldwide, mostly in China, the coronavirus is spreading quickly and fast globally as people travel internationally. More confirmed cases in Beijing, Shanghai, and other major cities in China.
Cruise ships, some airlines, and tour groups have cancelled trips to China. Hong Kong has banned entry of Chinese citizens from Hubei province where Wuhan is located. Governments from Africa, Europe, Austrailia have charthered flights to bring their citizens home.
The World Health Organization had decided against declaring the outbreak a global health emergency for now is reconsidering that decision as the coronavirus spreads. WHO Director General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus said, “WHO is following this outbreak every minute of every day.”
