African Technology Expands To Include A Made-in-Rwanda Smartphone

KIGALI, RWANDA – Dubai based Mara Group has launched “Africa’s first smartphone manufacturer” in Kigali, the capital of Rwanda.
President Paul Kagame of Rwanda officially opened this Mara smartphone manufacturing plant in the East African country on Monday 7 October 2019. The factory has been built by an African smartphone brand, Mara Phones.
Mara Phones hopes to compete with brands from South Korea and China. Being a high quality smartphone, it hopes to get a share of the African market.
African consumers and local business owners are now taking note of this new smartphone.
