Over 600,000 US COVID-19 Deaths is Proof – “Now is not the time to let our guard down.” – President Joe Biden
June 15, 2021
WASHINGTON (AGN.News) – The Johns Hopkins CSSE Coronavirus Resource Center reported Tuesday that the United States, with 597,594 deaths, is approaching 600,000 deaths and over 33,303,285 cases from COVID-19 since the first reported cases in March 2020.
The count of 33,303,285 COVID-19 cases covers the period from the beginning of the pandemic 15 months ago until today. In the last 7 days the number of new cases is 86,911.
The total number of new COVID-19 cases and daily deaths in the United States have fallen steadily in recent weeks, the reality of this milestone is a harsh reminder of the toll the pandemic has taken and is still taking.
We’re reminded of the true meaning of the word pandemic. Pan means ‘all’ and demic means ‘local people’ … and that’s what COVID-19 (CO – Corona … VI Virus … D – Disease … 19 – 2019) has done, taken the lives of local people from virtually every community in the United States.
U.S. President Joe Biden, knows this reality, on Monday acknowledged, “there’s still too many lives being lost,” and “now is not the time to let our guard down.”
Recent data shows local COVID deaths
The Associated Press published a report it has uncovered data showing how the pandemic has exposed wide racial inequalities in the U.S.
The AP report shows where race is known, white Americans account for 61% of all COVID-19 deaths, followed by Hispanics with 19%, Blacks with 15%, and Asian Americans with 4%.
GET VACCINATED! is the message
COVID-19 has and still is taking a toll on local people IN every community in every state. Local community organizations are busy at work promoting the vaccination drive in their community. Pop-up vaccination centers are bringing vaccines to where people live.
