PEOPLE: Rosewood descendants are still fighting for their right to enjoy equality as families, business owners, and entrepreneurs 100 years after the massacre

PHOENIX (AGN.News) – As January 1, 1923 arrived, the small community of Rosewood, Florida found itself under attack by well-meaning but misguided attackers who were misled to believe the town was harboring an alleged criminal. The accusations were known to be false.
The massacre was never about crimes committed by the Black residents; it was always about stealing the land from those successful Black entrepreneurs who owned their own land and homes.
The Black residents of Rosewood, Florida lost lives, property, homes, and land in the Rosewood Massacre of 1923. Many of their descendants are facing the same challenges today in Florida, Arizona, and other U.S. states that led to the massacre between January 1st and January 7th.
In the 1997 movie Rosewood, survivors of the families targeted were part of the research team who provided historical information used in the movie as well as being on-location for the making of the movie. Ironically, the descendants of the massacre are still fighting the same battles.
In 2023, Rosewood descendants are having their businesses stolen or destroyed by people who feel Black Americans and other people of color are not qualified to own local, national, or global businesses. Today, the victims are fighting back to preserve their hard work for the next generation of entrepreneurs.
At the end of slavery in 1865, descendants of wealthy Americans who enjoyed the fruits of slavery for over 200 years were generally on a mission to seize the land and property of successful Black Americans. Many working in concert, would seize their land without provocation or for justifiable reasons.
These seizures were considered better for the majority culture because they felt they could make better use of it and make higher use of it for maximum economic use of the property for the ‘greater good’.
Many African Americans were well-educated by parents and well-trained as college graduates which enabled them to own and run businesses of every sort. As property owners, it was their desire to pass on their wealth to their children and grandchildren so generational wealth would sustain the coming generations.
To the, then majority culture, the property ownership and the communities of Black Americans were not important and as they felt these African Americans should be prepared to have their rights sacrificed for the ‘greater good’ of the majority culture.
Many African Americans lived and died not understanding why their lives and communities were treated as if they were of little value and should not complain about surrendering their property to the majority culture. These Black Americans were taxpayers who wanted a level economic playing field to break the yoke of slavery.
As the decades after slavery passed, many Americans like Susan B. Anthony protested the seizures of land and property of African Americans and worked to right the wrongs done to their fellow Americans. Many in government decided to no longer use their office to steal the land or property of Black Americans. They understood the lives of their fellow Americans had value just as theirs. So many of the former land-grab schemes came to an end.
Another scheme appeared in the 20th century. This involved conspiring to confiscate property of Black Americans by using “lawful forfeiture and seizures” where the owner, who had not committed any crimes, lost the right to retain their own property.
Other seizures came by setting into motion a plan to simply steal the property through scams. Whatever would work, they were willing to try. In their minds the end justified the means.
In January 1923, the Black residents of Rosewood, Florida found themselves in the cross hairs of a violent mob of white supremacists who were so filled with anger and hate they violently attacked the community of property-owners who just so happened to be Black and murdered and raped many of those peaceful residents.
Law enforcement who should have stepped up and protected them were complicit in the rape and murder of innocent Americans. Seventy years later, the state of Florida acknowledged the failures of law enforcement and paid restitution.
For the past 100 years the descendants of Rosewood have worked hard to do something for themselves so the next generation would have a strong foundation upon which to build generational wealth.
As the country came into the 21st century, some descendants of Rosewood survivors had built a chain of beauty and barber shops only to have the entire chain destroyed by law enforcement through deceit, schemes, and scams. To them the end justified the means.
Next, they focused on another business owned by Rosewood descendants. This time it is a global business that Black American descendants and others spent over 61,000 hours building and found employees of four tech companies working in concert to destroy it because they wanted the NAME of the company.
What did these conspirators do? First, they tried to steal the domain name by locking the domain account. Next they systematically destroyed ninety percent of the digital assets. Next, they weaponized their friends in law enforcement to investigate crimes they had created or set into motion. Yes, fake crimes and accusations were used as weapons.
This led to nine home burglaries in 2021-2023, auto burglaries, nine desktop computers destroyed, four laptop computers destroyed, fifteen cellphones, damaged or destroyed. Again, to them the end justified the means.
On May 18, 2023, these conspirators started attacking visitors to their sites by replacing links on websites with over 50 pornographic website links to redirect visitors to porn. Since children used these sites for business classes, these hackers are exposing children to porn.
They have registered over 50 domains in furtherance of their scheme to destroy this company in hopes of stealing the company’s domains. Knowing they could never get away with murder, even though they tried four times, they simply set into motion this new plan to destroy the company. The total losses have now approached ten million dollars.
The total company profit after 10 years, zero dollars – total income after ten years, zero dollars – after all these years of trying to succeed, the descendants said they will never surrender their program under any circumstances. “We’re fighting, not for money, but for legacy!” one family member said. The recognition of equality could solve some of these problems.

Rather than finding ways to support the effort of the businesses of Rosewood descendants, they have chosen to destroy those businesses and murder them as their forefathers did. To some extent they’ve succeeded. However, they’ve failed in many other ways. The use of porn is further proof of their failures. When you have to target children in a scheme, that’s proof of malice of heart.
This is a non-stop decades-long cyber war
After years of destroying phones and computers, these criminals have turned to corrupting the minds of children in a last minute attempt to make it appear everyone is like them. They will not get the last word!
A month ago we made an appeal for them to replace destroyed phones and computers and to cease putting porn on this site. Instead of stopping, they increased the use of hacker-generated pornography by installing it on this site with newly registered domain names.
Rosewood descendants speaks…
As Rosewood descendants, said they were aware of historical crimes committed against other people back 130 years – including a 25 year old who was their grandfather in 1893, yes, 130 years ago. He was threatened with hanging for buying a white horse. Therefore, they’re seeking help from law enforcement to both find and prosecute today’s perpetrators.
As a prominent historian said, “We seek not just legal equity but human ability, not just the equality as a right and a theory but equality as a fact and equality as a result.”
“Like the Rosewood forefathers of 100 years ago, the battle continues to create equality and generational wealth in the face of every scheme to steal it at any price, including murder. We will continue to create opportunities for ourselves and others in the face of every scheme to steal it,” Rosewood descendants.
